In January 2000, Bill and Caroline Dehaas set out to sell lighting for multifamily construction projects in BC's Fraser Valley.
From the very beginning, the team did whatever it took to find the best possible lighting solutions for customers. They also provided construction crews with certainty that the lights would arrive at the site at just the right time to minimize breakage.
In the early days, it wasn't uncommon to see deliveries from the family minivan. As it turned out, customers and construction crews really liked the "do whatever it takes" attitude and the caring approach.
As the team cared for more customers, the business moved to larger facilities. Today, Design Lighting operates from a 25,000 sqft warehouse in the Campbell Heights business park at 36th Ave and 190th Street in Surrey.
The business continues to grow with our dedicated staff, many who have been with Design Lighting for over 15 years.
